In this project Christine worked with Michael Fernbacher’s artwork to convert it to an image that would translate well onto his business card in an inkless blind impression printed on deliciously thick, soft paper. This was a great project working with Michael on the imagery and concept for this vintage inspired piece. It was also an opportunity to work with Keith Berger at The Cranky Pressman out in Salem Ohio who is still doing the real deal by hand in small batches. In these times when so many of us are on the computer all day in a virtual visual realm, the luscious tactile quality of the hand printed letterpress piece stands out all the more.
Christine also created for Michael a digital letterhead in Word with the corresponding artwork set as a watermark which he can send digitally as a pdf or printout and send by snail mail.
